If you’re serious about taking amazing photos for your brand you want them to turn out as professional as possible.
I have to admit I was pretty naive about this. I always wondered why my photos had an almost etherial glow or I’d end up a nice shade of pink. I couldn’t figure it out. It looked like a filter gone wrong.
It was annoying when I needed to take a photo of something for work or Instagram to showcase. They were looking more amateur than amazing.
Now this would only happen sometimes – mostly when I used my phones flash.
Although it’s subtle, it started getting really annoying. I was constantly left wondering why friends took better photos on their phones that me.
It was when the above photo was taken on a lingerie photoshoot I realised why it was happening. In all the photos taken that day that there was almost a Bold and the Beautiful filter on them all! I noticed this only happened when that particular crystal phone cover was on.
The flash was reflecting off the crystals and then projecting that into the image. It’s kinda cool but at the same time equal parts annoying. So whatever your phone cover is, there’s potential for it to reflect into the lens and tint the photo.
If you’re serious about taking amazing photos for your brand you want them to turn out as professional as possible. I’d recommend taking your phone cover off just for photos and see if it makes a difference.
Who knows, you could prefer to the Bold and the Beautiful or the naturally pink filter your phone cover could give your snaps!
