A review of OMGYes – a website dedicated to female pleasure.
Recently, I was on the phone to one of my girlfriends, pining about a boy. Let’s just forget the fact his communication skills were a tad questionable, but in my love-struck daze, I remarked to my friend that he had no flaws, therefore he must be the future Mr. Professional Babe.
He had the potential to age better than the finest red wine and I don’t think it helped that when we started talking, he made my ovaries hurt (or so my head believed, but when I checked my period tracker, I was actually due to be ovulating that day anyway).
Jokingly, my friend alluded to the fact that Mr. Perfect is single because he could be rubbish in bed. And although this concerned me a little, I’ve always believed that good sex takes two people as you can’t just rely on the other person to make it a completely pleasurable experience – you have to know what tickles your own pickle. Or the ladies equivalent…
I believe that good sex starts with being able to get yourself off, but the issue is, many women struggle to get themselves off. Toys aside, being able to direct your partner to touch you in a way that makes you scream his name with delight and your neighbours hate you can be hard to do if you don’t know what floats your boat.
So for my Valentine’s day post, I wanted to focus on the most literal way you could think about self-love and do a post about masturbating (Cue jazz hands and chuffed look on my face!).
As if we really think about self-love, I think we can all agree that masturbation fits that bill. LOL.
I sat on this idea for a while. I didn’t want to do anything that was celebratory single, as that isn’t fair for my coupled up readers of PB. I wanted to do something that all women (and I guess my male readers too!) could benefit from with a little discovery called OMGYes.
How I found it…
I was introduced to OMGYes when a friend messaged me on Facebook with a simple link and the words, “OMG, you NEED to write about this on Professional Babe ASAP.”
Intrigued, I click the link and browsed the website, watching the sample videos and instantly handing my money over.
What exactly is it…
To sum up what OMGYes is about, it’s a program that’s focussed on female sexual pleasure by showing you techniques that demystify what actually gets a woman off.
It started with an in-depth study on the female orgasm (over 2000 women), specifically in masturbation and found that women use a lot of similar techniques. With 12 techniques in total, some of these include edging, accenting, layering and orbiting. Each technique contains information, helpful guidelines to get there and common problems you can encounter along the way, e.g. getting too excited and having a premature orgasm (I know, I know, a great problem to have!).
In 47 informative videos, you’ll also get to hear women talk about their experiences with the technique, including tips on how she gets her most effective orgasm. You then watch and have the ability to try the techniques out for yourself via the 12 interactive videos.
It’s point of difference…
Although you can try the techniques out on yourself or partner, the developers have made it so using your computer or smartphone, you can practice the techniques on an on-screen vulva (the correct term for your va-jay-jay!). Yes really.
So whilst you’re flicking the bean, you’ll be given feedback on how to improve and fine tune your technique to get yourself – or your partner – closer to the elusive O.
Why I rate it…
I understand that not everyone is as sexually empowered as myself or even has close friends they can talk to about this and it’s the reason I love this program.
This isn’t the kind of stuff that’s taught in schools (could you imagine?!), even Dolly Dr didn’t go into the depth that the program does. It isn’t smutty, it’s educational and it’s completely Professional Babe approved.
It isn’t the 1950s anymore, therefore women can admit to having sex and god forbid, admit to liking it too. This program is a candid eye-opener at how different all women are sexually and there isn’t a one size fits all approach to orgasms.
Should I get it? OMGYes!
I couldn’t think of a more appropriate Valentine’s day related article that preached self-love in a better way than this program teaches. I also couldn’t think of a better present to buy yourself, your bestie or to use together as a couple. Also, for the non-vagina readers of Professional Babe, these tips are fabulous to add to your sex toolkit. As if you’re with a woman and one technique isn’t working, you have 11 others to try!
So if you want to give yourself or your partner some loving this V-day, then OMGYes is the perfect gift you can buy yourself or your partner this Valentine’s day. And if you think your neighbours will hate you for it, the program has an easy gifting function, so buy them a copy too!
Happy self-love day!
PS. If you need any more convincing to part with the one-time subscription fee of $39.00, Emma Watson is a huge fan of it!
