What every Professional Babe should outsource

Because your time is too precious to waste. See your worth and invest in yourself – outsource

As women who want to be successful, we feel we have to do it all.

Not only is this burning the candle at both ends, but often it takes us three times as long to do it, when in fact we should just outsource and hire a professional.

Ask any successful women and she will tell you there’s an army of people who’ve got her back. These might be her friends and family, but I bet an army of people she hires would be listed as well.

“I believe that every Professional Babe sees her time as important and sees that paying a professional to do the job is working smarter, not harder.”

reasons you should outsource

We have to realise that our talents are best spent doing what we love and what we’re good at. Especially if you’re charing a premium hourly rate.

If outsourcing scares you then start small. Look at what you hate doing or could easily pass onto a professional to do a better job.

I heard Melissa Ambrosini recently say that she does everything with love, and if she doesn’t love it she outsources it. I like that.

1. Weekly blowdries

Because you’re worth being pampered. Full social calendar and many important events coming up? Then de-stress at your local salon. Any woman feels on top of the world with a head massage and a big and bouncy blow-dry. The other positive? It’s the perfect time to sit and catch up on your emails.

2. Getting your car washed

We always feel in a more positive mindset when our surroundings are clean and clear. Have heaps of errands to run at your local shopping centre? Use the valet cleaning service so you don’t have to worry about parking. You’ll pick your car up and it will be clean to stow away your new purchases.

3. Getting someone to help with your accounts

We shouldn’t ignore our finances or cringe at tax time. Hiring a good accountant or book keeper is empowering and important. When I started my business I signed up to Xero accounting software and worked with my book keeper to streamline my accounts. The system works by syncing your bank accounts and recognises regular expenses. Bonus – I can access my accounts via the cloud and they offer a free trial too.

4. Hiring a cleaner

We all have visions of cleaning our house in Agent Provocateur lingerie and looking glam whilst we do it. Or is that just me? Unless you enjoy it, this is something you could easily outsource. Even hiring someone to clean on a fortnightly basis lifts a huge weight off your shoulders and ensures you’re working and living in a clean and calm environment.

5. Hair removal

British beauty brand Escentual surveyed women to find that we spend approximately 72 days in our life time shaving our legs. Add our pits and bits into that mix and that’s time that could easily be spent developing business ideas, going on dates or exercising. I’m a big advocate for laser hair removal. Just remember to go somewhere reputable. My favourite place is in the Hunter Valley called Laser Effect.

6. Styling yourself

Because if you want to dominate in your career you need to dress the part. There are many stylists these days that work exclusively with business women. Colette Werden is a Melbourne based stylist and image specialist who transforms women’s lives via their wardrobe.

“Remember, you’re completely worth the money you wish to invest in yourself. Your time is precious.”
