What do you sell?
I’m an E-commerce Consultant and Shopify designer.
Who is your customer?
Founder-led SMBs with exceptional products.
What was your main goal for purchasing Good In Business?
Working with someone who could push me to make decisions and commit to changes I knew I needed to make to ensure my business is sustainable.
Did the program help you achieve your goal? How does your business look now?
Yes, Peta supported me through adjusting my services’ formats and pricing so that I have the time and space to give every client my full self during 1:1 projects, while also creating a foundation for helping more small business owners benefit from my expertise through free and low-priced resources even if they’re not far along enough in their business yet to hire me.
After GIB I have an easy-to reference playbook for my business that I can tweak one thing at a time without losing confidence in the overall strategy. I also feel confident that as long as I stay within the parameters we’ve established I’ll be profitable and able to keep my business running, and in turn able to continue to serve the female founders I love working with.
“About 6 weeks in I booked a project at the new price Peta helped me establish, an increase of about $2k USD, which essentially ‘covered’ the cost of GIB itself.”
What has been your most audacious move in the last 8 weeks?
By the last week of GIB I quoted a large project at $50k (USD)—the single largest quote I’ve ever sent out—without any guilt or fear; that’s a product of having built evidence and facts around how much value I offer and how much expertise and time I put in; it becomes non negotiable that I am properly compensated so I can properly serve the client. Larger scale clients like these expect those numbers and would be put off if I under quoted. Taking a few more of these projects a year will allow me to keep helping the female startups and solo product founders I love the most, who tend to have a more limited cash flow.
What were your top three wins?
+ A big change I had been dragging my feet on until GIB was moving my pricing info from a PDF that had to be requested to being publicly listed on my website, so that small biz owners can more easily find a service or resource that works best for them.
+ About 6 weeks in I booked a project at the new price Peta helped me establish, an increase of about $2k, which essentially ‘covered’ the cost of GIB itself.
+ Overall, I shifted away from a scarcity mindset into a mentality that clients exist at all different spending capacities and it’s just a matter of me finding ways of serving them that also serve my own business’ success, rather than threatening my own bottom line based on a perceived threat of undersupply.
Did you have a money win?
Yes, knowing my offers are profitable makes me feel so much more confident in promoting them since I know it’s a win for the client while keeping my own business running.
What made you decide to go with us over other service providers?
I appreciate Peta’s no nonsense attitude and grounded approach to decision making. There’s a time and place for the woo woo stuff but I was looking for something that would concretely move my biz forward. And that’s not to say the softer skills like mindset weren’t considered – my mindset did shift. But there was zero manifestation crap and 100% honesty from Peta; she tells it like it is and pushes you when she sees you’re ready to hear it.

How long did it take you being in GIB to see results or a change in your business/yourself?
Probably around week 3!
Can you estimate the ROI from your GIB investment?
Priceless. No but really I know that the results are compounding over time as I refer back to our plan and make informed decisions based on it.
Why should someone join GIB?
If you have a few hours a week to commit to your own biz (hint: if you don’t, you need a shift) spending them on the GIB calls and “homework” will inevitably move you closer to your goals. I would say it takes a certain vulnerability around being honest about the stage you’re in and what your goals are, but the private group format is supportive and safe.
